All updates now appear on the what's new page, this will enable you to find what has been added over the last few months instead of just the latest additions.

Welcome to www.londontramways.net, a sister website to the www.southernrailway.net website. The purpose of this website is to display the photographs taken by my father A. J. Wills during the final years of the London Tramway system between 1949 and 1952. There are photographs on site at present, with another 3000 or so waiting to be scanned.

Eventually photographs from both our collections will also be included.

There are many pages of notes and tables that my father compiled during his life and these will be gradually uploaded. It is hoped that these notes will give a service history of tramcars that are pictured on this site, and also the day to day running and history of London Tramways.

To enable you to find the photographs that interest you please use the search for London Trams function in the menubar on the left. At the moment there are four searches available, when you click on 'Search for London Trams" You can Search by Location, Search by Class / Type of car, search for a car on a specific numbered service and search for the latest uploads. More searches will follow soon.
